The Mercury Sable LS is available in sedan and wagon trims. In the 2001 model year, the Mercury Sable LS and LS Premium offer front bucket seats and 3.0-liter overhead-valve Vulcan V6 that is generating 155 horsepower. In 2000 the LS offers cloth with leather seats, power driver's seat, split folding rear seat, and power adjustable pedals.

 

Also in this model year, LS Premiums has standard excellent 24-valve Duratec V6, leather seating surfaces, electronic climate control, automatic-on headlights, fog lamps, rear center elbow rest, and other features. All Sable trims are offering optional anti-lock brakes with electronic traction control. The 1998 Mercury Sable is equipped with 3.0-liter 6-cylinder 24-valve engine with automatic transmission for the LS 4-door sedan. All other Sable LS, whether Premium, sedan or wagon is offering 3.0-liter V6 engines, but differs on number of cylinders, valves, and how much horsepower can be generated.
