The Mercury Sable had changed for the 1996 model year with the same shape as the Taurus. The Sable's rear window and taillight design were more conventional, but the interior is same as with the Taurus except for the upholstery fabrics. The instrument-cluster and center panel for the climate and stereo controls are oval shaped. The grille opening is also elliptical. The Sable LS is equipped with standard Duratec V6 engine, which is capable of generating 200 horsepower. The G thang was renamed and offered as the G sedan, a new base level g for this model year, so as the GS and LS sedans and wagons. Other Sables may now be a problem of their owners due to its flaws caused by being an old vehicle model. If you want your Sable to remain in its perfect shape despite of being old, you should see to it that you are giving it the right maintenance that it needs. Provide the necessary replacements and repairs as needed.
